If U've seen Disney's Ratatouille the character of Chef Gasteau was based on Chef Bocuse, but slightly different because of the location...Chef Gasteau in Paris, Chef Bocuse in Lyon...both have a Large mural-billboard of their face on a tall building, & like Chef Bocuse whose restaurant lost a Michelin star after his death, so did Chef Gasteau in the Disney movie. Some coincidence! So as we ate our way around Lyon & enjoyed Lyon in early October, we went on a food tour of the city & a wine tour of the Beaujolais region (half hour drive from Lyon) & a tasting! Lyon had the best overall food quality & experience compared to our trip to Provence France! There were no duds & all the food wowed us! Don't miss Lyon on Ur trip to France! So we went from the Cotes-du-Rhone region to the Beaujolais region of France on R trip!!
